Es war schön und ruhig, aber zum kochen zu klein und schwierig, einfache Sachen gehen, aber nur 2 Herd-Platten, kein Ofen und wenig Geschirr, Balkon nicht nutzbar, da das große schöne bodentiefe Fenster keine Tür hat und dort keine Möbel stehen. I had a wonderful stay. The location is beautiful and conveniently close to Gljúfrabúi, Hjálparfoss, Skógafoss, and Seljalandsfoss. The cottage was comfortable, well-equipped, and the views were absolutely stunning. A perfect place to relax after exploring.

This place was beautiful. A quiet escape for long days traveling the ring road and hiking in local nature. It was clean, spacious and big enough for two people perfectly. Excellent WiFi and book of things to do nearby. Bed was comfortable, hot water was plentiful and having the mini kitchen saved us money and gave us time to enjoy meals together.It’s off the beaten path a bit, but that only added to its charm for us. More time to soak in the nature on the drive to and from. Our favorite part was the views from the big windows. Honestly couldn’t rate this place highly enough. From the offset the hosts had excellent communication and the check in process was simple. The location is just the right amount of isolation and was so peaceful and such beautiful scenery. We stayed for 2 days and were given a later check out due to adverse weather conditions which was a huge bonus, the hosts really couldn’t have been any more helpful. Wir waren für 5 Nächte in Haus Nr 3 (das Beste meiner Meinung nach) und haben von dort aus Ausflüge gemacht.Als wir ankamen lag noch viel Schnee, ohne 4x4 hätten wir es nicht in die Unterkunft geschafft, aber so war es gut möglich die cottages zu erreichen.Die cottages liegen seh ruhig und sehr privat in einem Tal mit einer grandiosen Aussicht auf Berge und Fluss.In einer Nacht konnten wir Nordlichter sehen.Wir empfehlen die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiter und würden ebenfalls gerne nochmal wieder kommen.
